BCF is, to the best of our knowledge, the only organisation in the world to have been able to develop a programme to simultaneously transform thousands of schools into centres of excellence.
We are currently training principals of 1,020 schools in the Limpopo Province of South Africa to transform their schools into centres of excellence and confidently expect academic results at this year end to demonstrate a significant jump. Based on results achieved in other provinces, academic results in Limpopo, which has for years been rated as one of the worst performing provinces in South Africa, will thereafter significantly increase year after year.
Here is the reason for the above expectation. Within 2 years of BCF training hundreds of principals of under-performing rural schools in the Free State Province of South Africa, academic results increased so dramatically that it has been the top performing province in South Africa for four years as measured by overall matriculation results and the percentage of students gaining a university or technical university entrance matriculation certificate.
The International Schools Centre of Excellence Programme is a culture change programme which empowers whole school transformation by school management teams working as synergistic teams with parents and the local community. It is driven by the Limpopo Department of Education.
