The lives of 2.4 million children have potentially benefited through the training of the management teams of the schools they have attended since 2010 and because the parents attended BCF National Parenting Skills training programmes.

Practical parenting skills training

The Northern Cape Provincial Department of Education in South Africa reported that following the training of parents by teachers at 109 schools, homework completion, school attendance, marks and progression rates had all significantly improved while the learner dropout rate had declined.

In addition, parents had become involved in the education of their children and with the schools they attend.

The South African police commander in Sasolburg reported that two years after parents had been trained by pastors, callouts to family violence had declined by more than 50%.

Now you know why I am so disappointed that crimes against women and children remain stubbornly high. There is a silver bullet. It just needs funding.

Transforming education so that no child is left behind

Most principals of under-performing schools around the world do not know how to transform them into centres of excellence. We do!

After school management teams have implemented the strategies, skills and knowledge they learn at the International Schools Centre of Excellence Programme, 96% have increased year end marks in most years/grades by more than 10%. Many by up to 40%.

Every year millions of dollars are invested in attempts to transform education around the world. Despite these massive investments they consistently report little success in transforming education at under-performing schools. They report that they remain stubbornly resistant to change.

Now you know why I am so disappointed when global players report that their success rate at transforming underperforming schools remains stubbornly low. There is a silver bullet. It just needs funding.
