The Billion Child Foundation proudly announces the achievements of the 118 previously under-performing high schools which attended the SA Schools Centre of Excellence Programme in the 2018 South Africa NSC matriculation examinations
1. 15% of schools trained by BCF enjoyed 100% of learners gained a matriculation pass.
2. 58% of schools trained by BCF enjoyed 80%-99% of learners gaining a matriculation pass.
3. Rebatla-Thuto Secondary School in Fezile Dabi enjoyed 100% of their learners gaining a Bachelor or Diploma pass.
4. 12% of schools trained by BCF enjoyed 90% -99% of learners gaining a Bachelor or Diploma pass.
5. 16% of schools trained by BCF enjoyed 80%-89% of learners gaining a Bachelor or Diploma pass.
6. 72% of learners gained a Bachelor or Diploma pass at the 118 previously under-performing high schools trained by BCF compared to the national average of 61% which includes ex model C schools.
