We urgently need to raise £1,800 to complete registration of the Billion Child Foundation as a non-profit organisation and to establish an office in Zambia. The Zambian Ministry of General Education requires this prior to signing a MOU with BCF (Zambia) which will result in BCF training officials of the Zambian Ministry of General Education to train every principal in Zambia to transform his/her school into a centre of excellence.
BCF is the first organisation to develop a proven scalable programme capable of transforming every government school in every country into a centre of excellence.
The potential of this Programme is formidable as is demonstrated by students at hundreds of previously underperforming schools in South Africa which are situated in rural areas, on tribal land and in the dangerous informal settlements on the outskirts of cities who have obtained results which have even amazed their teachers.
In 2020, despite covid disruptions to schooling, 73% of students at these previously under-performing schools obtained a university or technical university admission matriculation pass.
